Trips: Not As Cool……..

“Not as COOL as the Altar Trip to Montauk, but close to it”

Overall Stats for the day: Ken, 15 in the net, 6 or 7 on the Headlight Caddis, the others on the House of
Payne (HOP), purple zebra midge and soft hackle. Scott, had four fish in net for the day and lots that got
away. He used crackle backs, green perdigon, San Juan worms and midges throughout the day. Myself,
7 in the net swinging the “old Crackle Back” and, in the afternoon I was trying a couple new/different
crackle back patterns, did not do so well. Was able to get 2 on the hook (one right at the siren) finding
seams in the water. Mia “my net” was not very happy with the afternoon and she is looking forward to
the next upcoming trip. Might have to hitch onto one of the graduation trips coming up.
Morning, fishing above and below the boulder
Lunch: Fellowship…..We met up with other FATC members, some of the pastors and had an opportunity
to talk with Eric Camfield of Altar fly fishing. Where Scott and myself were able to discuss the upcoming
Driftless Trip.
Afternoon: Begin at the spring and worked downstream.
Dinner: Fellowship at “American Taco” which is one of mt most favorite places to eat. Thank you all for
the great conversations and fellowship!
