The FATC was asked if we would spend the day at the Siteman Cancer Center in the South county of St Louis to demonstrate fly tying to the patients that were receiving their chemo-therapy. Of course how could we even refuse an awesome invitation like that. The Cancer center was celebrating Father’s day and thought the patients would enjoy watching the art of fly tying up close and personal. We set up four stations to demo fly tying but we soon found that it was just the enjoyable conversations that these patients wanted. It was a humbling but very rewarding experience for our members that participated. Thanks to all for serving our community in this simple but awesome way.
