      The Sowbug Roundup is back in Mountain Home Arkansas 3/24,25,26.  It’s like the Branson Fly Fishing Expo on steroids.  In the event that the guys at Taneycomo that weekend can’t fish they might consider coming over for this.  Or come on Thursday, 3/24, and go on to Taneycomo from the show.  The show is a 85 mi, 1 hr 45 min drive from Taneycomo.  For particulars go to sowbugroundup.org.  Or give me a call at 910 452-2120,lo I’d be happy to fill you in and give you info on fishing and lodging here on the White River and Norfork tailwaters.

      We are hoping to fish Taneycomo then but we will see about the flows. I’ll put on our FATC calendar about the Sowbug Roundup in case anyone from here would like to go. I’ll have them contact you. I will be unable this year because I am leading the Taneycomo trip that weekend.

      But we definitely need to meet up and fish Arkansas!!

      Fly fishermen rejoice! NAFF’s annual Sowbug Roundup makes triumphant return

      Weather looks good for next weekend and in the past the Corp has given us wadeable water on the Bull Shoals and Norfork tailwater during the show.  Hopefully, they will continue the practice and include Taneycomo tailwater for the guys fishing there.   Remember the show starts on Thursday so those going to Taneycomo can leave a day early and come thru Mountain Home (it’s about 85 mi from Mountain Home to Pointe Royale).  I’ve already heard from a couple FATC guys planning to attend Sowbug.  Give me a call if you have any questions – Mike Enger, 910-452-2162.
