Hi!  I just bought the catchercraft freestone.  Looking to float either the Current, Niangua, or Eleven Point on the 18th.  Any other raft/kayak fishers interested in heading out the 17th and either camping or staying in a cabin, then hitting the water on the 18th?

I’m an inexperienced oarsman and will probably run into things all day long – including you.  Apologies in advanced.  But wanting someone with me because – safety in numbers.

(leaning more towards Current or Eleven Point)

Also, I have a truck (no trailer) so we can (hopefully) avoid shuttles.  Anyone?  Anyone?  🙂

      Hi jeffblev,

I appreciate the invite for a float trip. I do have a kayak and would enjoy a float/fish trip with you. Unfortunately, I can’t make the dates of your trip.

FYI…you will probably get a better response if you add your trip on the FATC calendar. We have many members that are experienced oarsmen.

      Tightlines.

It dawned on me that my timing wasn’t so hot as it coincides with the fly-fishing classes.

Going to put something on the calendar for October 27 and 28 @ the Current if it’s going to be floatable.

Pretty late to this thread, but have been wanting to float the current for years – but dont know anyone else with a kayak. I waded Baptist camp yesterday and was thinking how nice it would be to see the more remote sections of the river below there. Let me know if you guys know a list of folks w/ vessels – I would be interested in trying to get something together this year.

I’d be down for something like this. Have a ‘yak and a truck.
